There have been reports suggesting that the release date of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Dunki’ might be delayed. This comes after the makers of ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,’ starring Prabhas, chose the same release date as ‘Dunki.’
However, the creators of ‘Dunki’ have dismissed all these rumors and confirmed that the film is indeed scheduled to hit the screens on December 22 as planned.

So, both Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ and Prabhas’ ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ are set to release simultaneously. Initially, ‘Dunki’ was slated for a June release but was postponed to December. Similarly, ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ was originally scheduled for September 28 but faced a delay due to unforeseen circumstances.
As for the movies themselves, ‘Dunki’ is described as an immigration drama starring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. On the other hand, ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ is an action-packed drama featuring Prabhas, along with Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles.
On the professional front, Prabhas’ latest appearance was in ‘Adipurush,’ while Shah Rukh Khan recently starred in ‘Jawan.’ The latter’s film made an impressive net domestic total of Rs 627.4 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
‘Jawan,’ directed by Atlee, was envisioned as Shah Rukh’s first pan-India film, with significant releases in both the Tamil and Telugu-speaking regions. The film garnered around Rs 60 crore from these versions combined.
