It’s anticipated that starting from October 16, 2023, the price of petrol in Pakistan might see a substantial decrease of around Rs35 per litre.
This adjustment is in response to the changing global oil prices. If this change takes effect, petrol could be priced at approximately Rs285 per litre, down from the current rate of Rs323.38.
Likewise, high-speed diesel (HSD) might also experience a drop in price, possibly around Rs16 to Rs30 per litre for the next two weeks. However, it’s important to note that the final decision rests with the interim government.
Earlier, on October 1, petrol prices in Pakistan were reduced by Rs8 per litre following a two-month period of increases, setting it at Rs323.38 per litre. High-speed diesel (HSD) saw a reduction of Rs11 per litre to Rs318.18, while Kerosene oil prices dropped by Rs7.53 per litre to Rs237.28.
