Over the next 12 hours, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts cloudy weather and rainfall for the capital city, Islamabad.
Here’s the latest on the rain in Islamabad: The Met Office predicts a rain-wind thunderstorm will sweep through the twin cities. This is due to a westerly wave present over the upper parts of the country, and it’s anticipated to shift in a north/northeast direction in the next 12 hours.
Temperature-wise, Islamabad experienced a drop to 18°C on Tuesday. The city’s humidity levels hovered around 84 percent, while winds blew at a speed of 12km/h. The maximum UV Index stood at 4, indicating moderate levels of ultraviolet radiation, with visibility spanning approximately 16km.
When it comes to air quality, Islamabad recorded a level of less than 20, which falls into the “Excellent” category. This means that the air quality is ideal for most individuals, allowing for normal outdoor activities.
The Met Office further noted that dry weather is anticipated for most parts of the country. However, cloudy conditions with light rain and thunderstorms (with light snowfall in higher altitudes) are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and neighboring areas.
