PESHAWAR – Isolated rains and gusty winds are expected in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday night and Monday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), light monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea are moving into the northern and central regions of Pakistan. Also, there’s a westerly weather system influencing the northern parts of the country.
During these weather conditions, it will be mostly hot and humid across most districts of the province on Sunday night and Monday. However, isolated rains and gusty winds are expected in Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Battagram, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Mardan, Peshawar, Waziristan and Kurram.
Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 37-39°C on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, scattered rains occurred in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. Hot and humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the province.

Peshawar and Bannu were the hottest cities in the province, with temperatures reaching 40°C. During the evening, the relative humidity was 32% in Peshawar and 38% in Bannu.
The maximum temperature in Dera Ismail Khan was recorded at 38°C.
