Significant rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms is forecasted for Karachi, Hyderabad, and parts of Sindh on Thursday evening and Friday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a strong westerly wave is prevailing over most parts of Pakistan, expected to extend to the upper regions by Friday.
This weather pattern is anticipated to bring rain, wind, and thunderstorms to several areas including Larkana, Qamber Shahdadkot, Dadu, Ghotki, Kashmore, Naushero Feroze, Matiari, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Padidan, Sakrand, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Karachi, Thatta, Sajawal, and Badin on Thursday night and Friday.
In Karachi, the maximum temperatures are forecasted to range between 32-34 degrees Celsius on Friday and 34-36 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Similarly, Hyderabad’s maximum temperatures are expected to be between 34-36 degrees Celsius on Friday and 36-38 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
Although dry weather prevailed in most districts of Sindh over the last 24 hours, some areas in upper Sindh experienced rainfall.
Mithi recorded the highest temperature in the province at 42 degrees Celsius, with a relative humidity of 60 percent in the morning. Karachi recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius with a morning relative humidity of 78 percent, while Hyderabad recorded a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius with a morning relative humidity of 60 percent.
