According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), dry weather is anticipated across the majority of the country, including the provincial capital Karachi, over the next twelve hours.
The Met Office reports that dry conditions are expected in the southeastern region of Sindh. Currently, continental air is dominant over most parts of the country, with a westerly wave likely to approach upper areas today.
As for Karachi, the city experienced hazy sunshine on Wednesday with no likelihood of rain. The temperature was recorded at 36°C with winds blowing at 9km/h. The maximum UV Index, indicating low risk, was recorded at 2, and visibility was around 5km.
In terms of air quality, Karachi’s reading stood at over 129, classified as unhealthy. Sensitive groups may feel immediate health effects, while even healthy individuals may experience difficulty breathing and throat irritation with prolonged exposure. Outdoor activities should be limited.
Across other parts of Pakistan, mainly dry weather is expected, with colder conditions anticipated in upper areas during the night and morning hours.
