Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted intermittent rain, wind, and thunderstorms across various regions of Pakistan from April 24 onwards. This weather pattern is attributed to a westerly wave anticipated to enter western parts of the country on the night of April 24, subsequently affecting most upper regions by April 26. The inclement weather is projected to persist until April 29.

Balochistan:
- Rain, wind, and thunderstorms, with isolated heavy falls, are anticipated in several districts including Noushki, Pishin, Harnai, Zhob, Barkhan, Gwadar, Kech, and others from April 24 (night) to April 27 (morning).
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:
- Rain, wind, and thunderstorms, with occasional heavy falls and snowfall over high mountains, are expected in numerous areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, and others from April 25 (evening/night) to April 29.
Gilgit-Baltistan/Kashmir:
- Similar weather conditions, including rain, wind, and thunderstorms, along with snowfall over high mountains, are forecasted for regions like Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from April 26 to April 29.
Punjab/Islamabad:
- Rain, wind, and thunderstorms, with moderate to heavy falls, are predicted in various districts including Murree, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Lahore, and others from April 26 to April 29 (morning). Additionally, hailstorms are expected at isolated places during this period.
Sindh:
- Dust-thunderstorms and light rain are expected in certain areas including Sukkur, Jacobabad, and others on April 25 and April 26.
Possible Impacts and Advisories:
- Heavy rainfall may lead to flash floods in local nullahs/streams of Balochistan and certain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.
- Landslides are likely in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.
- Windstorm, hailstorm, and lightning may pose risks to human life, crops, and structures like electric poles and solar panels.
- Farmers are advised to manage their crops accordingly, while tourists are urged to avoid unnecessary travel, particularly from April 26 to April 29.
- A drop in temperatures is expected during the wet spell.
