Karachi Weather update – Expect hot and humid conditions to persist across many areas of Pakistan, including the southeastern region of Sindh and the provincial capital, Karachi, for the next 24 hours.
PMD said sultry weather caused by mercury and high humidity level continued to affect residents of the country’s largest city as there was no immediate chance of any relief over the weekend.
On Thursday, Karachi experienced a temperature of 35°C before noon, and today it’s expected to reach 36°C. The humidity in the city was measured at approximately 65 percent, and the maximum UV index recorded was 6, indicating a high level of UV radiation. The winds were blowing at a speed of 22 km/h, and visibility was around 6 km.
Unfortunately, Karachi’s air quality deteriorated to a reading of 107 on Thursday, which falls into the unhealthy category. According to AccuWeather, the air quality reached a level of pollution that is not suitable, particularly for individuals with sensitivities.
Experts recommend limiting outdoor activities if you experience symptoms like difficulty breathing or throat irritation.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) stated that continental air is dominating most regions of the country, leading to dry weather in many areas and humidity in the plains.
