Karachi weather update – Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted hot and dry weather in most parts of country including the Southeastern region and provincial capital Karachi.
According to the weather forecast provided by the meteorological department, there won’t be any rain in the port city or the surrounding regions for the next 24 hours.
At noon, the temperature is expected to reach approximately 35°C. Gentle winds will be blowing at a speed of 9 km/h. The maximum UV Index recorded is 4, indicating a moderate level of UV radiation, and visibility is estimated to be around 5 km.
The air quality in the provincial capital has been measured at 120, which falls into the unhealthy category. This means that individuals who are sensitive to air quality should be cautious and avoid outdoor activities. Even healthy individuals may experience some discomfort, such as difficulty in breathing and irritation in the throat, so it’s advisable for them to stay indoors and consider rescheduling any outdoor plans.
Across most parts of the country, a continental air mass is dominant. The weather is expected to remain dry in most regions, with the southern areas experiencing hot temperatures. However, there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms occurring at isolated locations in Gilgit Baltistan and nearby areas.
