Recently, Britney Spears candidly addressed her past relationship with Justin Timberlake, expressing her dissatisfaction with how he handled their breakup back in 2002.
As per reports from Daily Mail, the 44-year-old pop sensation spoke about their three-year-long romance, which came to an end after her involvement with choreographer Wade Robson led to infidelity.
In the aftermath of their separation, Justin, the former NSYNC star, released the song “Cry Me a River.” The music video portrayed Britney as unfaithful, wandering solemnly in the rain.
Britney, known for hits like “Toxic,” reflected on how the public perceived her at the time, labeling her a “harlot,” while Justin enjoyed the image of “America’s golden boy.”
Taking responsibility for her actions, Britney revealed that Justin had also been unfaithful multiple times. However, after the success of his breakup song, the narrative shifted, and she found herself being “shamed” while sympathy poured in for Justin.
She also mentioned feeling unable to share her side of the story earlier, as Justin had already “convinced the world of his version.”
On a different note, a source close to Entertainment Tonight disclosed that Justin is presently focused on his own family and is not letting Britney’s memoir occupy too much of his thoughts.
