This year, Eidul Fitr is predicted to begin in the middle of the week in the United Arab Emirates. However, the holidays are likely to start a couple of days earlier to coincide with the first weekend.
Lately, the chairman of Emirates Astronomical Association shared prediction about Moon sighting. As per the prediction, Eidul Fitr 2024 is slated to be held this year, a day later than previously anticipated dates.
Next month, the birth of Shawwal Crescent will coincide with a total solar eclipse April 8, 2024, its birth before midnight will mean that it can be seen after sunset the next day in UAE and other Gulf regions. Eid holidays will start on 29th day of Ramadan, and April 10-12 will be key days of Islamic event.
Residents of the UAE will enjoy the chance to connect two weekends with the Eid holidays, providing a total of nine days off in a row. This longer break will give people in the UAE the opportunity to unwind, spend quality time with family, and celebrate Eid without any work-related concerns.
