DUBAI – Pakistani nationals working in Dubai, a prominent emirate of the UAE, can now sponsor their families to join them, provided they meet specific criteria such as a minimum monthly salary.
Both employers and employees holding valid UAE residence visas are eligible to sponsor residence visas for their families. Unlike before, when only certain professions were allowed this privilege, now anyone who meets the requirements, regardless of their job title, can sponsor their family for a Dubai residence visa.
Documents Required for Sponsoring Dubai Family Visa
The documents required to sponsor a wife and children for a residence visa in Dubai include:
- Application form (submitted online or through a registered typing office)
- Passport copies of the wife and children
- Photographs of the wife and children
- Medical clearance certificate for family members over 18 years old
- A copy of the husband’s employment or company contract
- Salary certificate from the employer confirming the husband’s monthly salary
- Attested marriage certificate
- Registered tenancy contract
Family members aged 18 and above who are being sponsored must undergo and pass medical fitness tests at approved health centers in the UAE.
Minimum Salary for Sponsoring Dubai Visa to Family
A Pakistani national earning a minimum salary of AED 4,000 (excluding accommodation) or AED 3,000 (with accommodation) is eligible to sponsor a Dubai family visa.
