PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rains for Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday evening/night and Friday.
According to the weather report, a westerly wave prevails over upper parts of Pakistan. It is likely to persist during next 24 hours.
On Thursday evening/night and the following two days, most areas in the province can expect cloudy weather.
Expect rain, thunderstorms, and snow on the hills in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Manshera, Abbottabad, Balakot, Mardan, Haripur, and Peshawar on Thursday evening/night.
On Friday, rain is expected in Manshera, Abbottabad and Balakot.
Smog/fog is likely to persist in plain areas during morning hours.
In Peshawar, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in most district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.
However, rain-thunderstorm occurred in upper parts of the province.

Kalam experienced a temperature of 05 degrees Celsius, Malamjabba had a temperature of 04 degrees Celsius, and Balakot recorded a temperature of 03 degrees Celsius. Chitral, Pattan, and Saidu Sharif each registered a minimum temperature of 01 degree Celsius.
Malam Jabba maintained its status as the chilliest location in the country, with the mercury falling to 03 degrees Celsius. In Peshawar, the lowest temperature recorded was 11 degrees Celsius.
During the morning, the relative humidity was measured at 89 percent.
