The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted cloudy weather with the possibility of rain for Peshawar and various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the upcoming weekend.
As per the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is anticipated to approach the upper and central regions of Pakistan in the coming days. This weather pattern is likely to result in dry conditions across most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday evening and night.
However, there is a chance of light rain or drizzle in isolated areas, particularly in Chitral and its adjacent regions.
Moving into Saturday, cloudy weather is expected to prevail in most districts of the province. There’s also a likelihood of rain, thunderstorms, and even snowfall over high mountainous areas in specific locations, including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Manshera, Abbottabad, Mardan, Nowshera, Karak, Kohat, Bannu, and Lakki Marwat.
In Peshawar, the minimum temperature is projected to range from 14-16 degrees Celsius on both Saturday and Sunday.
Over the last 24 hours, dry weather was observed in most parts of the province. Kalam registered the lowest temperature, hitting the freezing point. In Peshawar, the minimum temperature recorded was 14 degrees Celsius, with the relative humidity at 85 percent in the morning.
