MetaMask, the cryptocurrency wallet, has introduced a new feature that allows its users in the U.S., U.K., and certain parts of Europe to easily turn their digital assets into regular money like dollars, euros, and pounds. You can then send this converted money to your bank account or PayPal.
They’re also looking to make this option available to more people around the world soon.
“Combined with the Buy feature, it enables you to have a self-sufficient Web3 experience with fewer intermediaries and faster fiat conversion directly to your destination of choice where available, like your bank account or PayPal balance,” the post read. “Ensuring a way for users to enter and exit crypto freely is important, and we hope these options make Web3 attainable to more people.”
MetaMask is like a digital wallet and tool that lots of people use every month, around 30 million of them! It works as an extension in web browsers like Google Chrome, Brave, Edge, and Firefox. What it does is connect your browser to Ethereum’s blockchain, which is like a super secure digital ledger. This lets you keep your important keys safe and use them to do things like buying and selling cryptocurrencies on websites or playing games that use digital money. It’s like your special online money pocket!
MetaMask recently teamed up with a company called Banxa to make it easier for people to use Apple Pay when buying cryptocurrencies. They also introduced something called Metamask Learn, which is like a fun way to teach everyone about important things related to the internet’s future called Web3.
