Meizu will launch a new smartphone on February 29, just a week after announcing its exit from the smartphone industry.
The upcoming device, named Meizu 21 Pro, is said to feature a 6.79-inch screen, as revealed in the initial promotional image shared on Weibo.
The CEO of Meizu says that the 21 Pro will be the last smartphone they make. The event happening on Thursday will be important because it will signal their move from making phones to focusing on AI technology.
Right now, there isn’t much known about this device. The CEO said it’ll have better AI than the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Huawei Pocket 2, but we don’t know exactly what that means yet.
We’re curious about the support that the Meizu 21 Pro will receive because the CEO mentioned that the FlymeOS team will be changed and will begin making AI devices for global platforms like OpenAI.
