There’s a chance that we might see a drop in petroleum prices starting from October 1st in Islamabad. This is due to the stability of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, which could lead to a decrease in the prices of petroleum products.
New Petrol and Diesel Prices for 1st October 2023
If things go as expected, we can anticipate a reduction of Rs12 in petrol prices and Rs10 in diesel prices. The official announcement for the new prices will be made at midnight tonight. Presently, petrol is being sold at Rs331.38 per liter and diesel at Rs329.18.
If the prices do go down, we can expect petrol to be priced at Rs319.38 and diesel at Rs319.18.
During the caretaker government’s tenure, the cost of petrol has gone up by Rs58 and diesel by Rs56.
While global crude oil prices have also seen a decrease, the final decision regarding the prices of petroleum products will be made by the Ministry of Finance after consulting with the Prime Minister.
