As Eid al-Adha 2024 approaches, the All Pakistan Tanners Association has announced the prices for the skins of sacrificial animals in Karachi. This information provides clarity for those participating in the Qurbani ritual. According to Amaanullah Aftab, a representative from the association, the prices for animal skins are as follows:
- Cow Skin: 1100 to 1500 rupees
- Goat Skin: 400 to 450 rupees
- Camel Skin: 550 rupees
Aftab noted that the prices of sacrificial animals have increased this year compared to previous years. This price adjustment reflects current market conditions and the anticipated higher demand for sacrificial animals.
The association expects to collect approximately 2.8 million cow skins and around 3.3 million goat skins from across Pakistan, highlighting the scale of the Qurbani tradition and its economic impact.
Residents and participants in Karachi can now plan their Qurbani activities with these new rates in mind, ensuring they are well-informed about market conditions during this festive season.
