If you’re a Pakistani citizen looking to get your passport for the first time, here’s what you need to do:
- Head to the relevant passport office or foreign mission.

How To Apply for New Passport
- Provide proof of the prescribed passport fee payment. This can be done through an Original Bank Paid Fee Challan (receipt) or e-Payment Confirmation Detail (received via SMS/Email, along with the PSID No.).
- Your original valid CNIC/NICOP along with a photocopy.
- If you’ve had a previous passport, bring the original along with a photocopy (if applicable).
- If you’re a government, semi-government, or autonomous body employee, you’ll need an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from your concerned department.
- For Dual-Nationals, bring your Foreign Passport along with a photocopy.
- In case of a lost passport, you’ll need a Lost Passport Police report which should mention the previous passport number.
New Passport Normal Fee Update October 2023
Regarding the fees, as of October 2023, the charges remain the same. For a 36-page passport, the fee is Rs4,000. If you’re opting for a 72-page passport, the fee is Rs6,500. And if you need a 100-page passport, the government has set the fee at Rs7,000.
