Prominent Pashto poet, fiction writer, and dramatist Laikzada Laik, known widely as Mumtaz, has passed away in Peshawar. The news was confirmed by his family members.
Laeekzada Laeek was a distinguished figure in the literary world, leaving behind an impressive body of work. He was credited with crafting over 500 radio plays and 12 TV plays. In addition to his contributions to the dramatic arts, he penned 120 stories and authored 36 books.
In recognition of his significant contributions to literature, Laikzada Laik received numerous accolades, including honors from the presidency, as well as national and international awards. His literary legacy remains a cherished part of Pashto literature.
