The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted primarily dry weather for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various parts of Pakistan over the next few days.
The current synoptic situation indicates a prevalence of continental air across most of Pakistan, along with a shallow westerly wave in the southern regions.
Given these conditions, dry weather is anticipated in the upper regions of the country, including the twin cities, on Friday evening, as well as the following two days. However, there may be partly cloudy weather in several districts of Balochistan and Sindh, with the possibility of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in southwestern Balochistan during this period.
In Islamabad, the minimum temperature is expected to range between 9-11 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday. In Rawalpindi, the minimum temperature is projected to range from 14-16°C on Saturday and 13-15°C on Sunday.
Over the past 24 hours, dry weather has persisted in most parts of the country, with cold conditions prevailing in the northern areas. Leh, in particular, recorded the lowest temperature in the country, dropping to 4°C below freezing. In Islamabad, the minimum temperature was noted at 11°C, with a relative humidity of 84% in the morning. In Rawalpindi, the minimum temperature was 15°C, with a relative humidity of 63% in the morning.
