The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall in the northern regions of Pakistan for Monday. Experts anticipate isolated heavy downpours and windstorms in areas including Kashmir, the Pothohar region, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.
This wet spell could potentially lead to landslides in places like Dir, Swat, Chitral, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir during this period.
As per the current weather patterns, there’s a shallow westerly wave present over the northern areas of the country. This condition is expected to bring partly cloudy weather with rain, wind, and thunderstorms to isolated areas in Gilgit Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday evening and night.
Hot weather is on the horizon for southern regions, while the rest of the country can expect dry conditions.
