Thunderstorms may bring rain to various parts of the country. Today, much of the plains in the country will experience weather conditions similar to yesterday, characterized by high temperatures and humidity.
Specifically, areas in the Potohar region, Northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and the nearby hilly areas have a chance of experiencing rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
Rawalpindi and Islamabad are expected to have warm daytime weather, with a possibility of rain, along with gusty winds and thunder, in the evening and overnight. The Meteorological Department has forecasted widespread precipitation, thunderstorms, and gusty winds from September 15-20.
Thundershowers are anticipated for most of Punjab, including Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, and Guliyat, and this rainy pattern is expected to persist intermittently.
The Meteorological Department also predicts rain, accompanied by gusty winds and thunder, for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi. There is a possibility of increased water flow in the rivers of these regions.
The Department of Meteorology has expressed concern about potential landslides in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, and Mansehra due to heavy rains. They have issued an alert to relevant institutions, noting the risk of damage to weak infrastructure and solar panels due to strong winds and gales.
According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent rain is also expected in Lucky Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Karak, Karam, Waziristan, and South Punjab from September 16 to September 18.
The Meteorological Department has suggested that the expected rains may lead to a reduction in heat intensity. Additionally, areas like Rajanpur, Musa Khel, Barkhan, Zhob, Kalat, Khuzdar, Mirpur Khas, Tharparkar, Khairpur, and Umarkot are also likely to receive rain.
