Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior, through its Absher Business platform, has announced revised fees for seven services provided to businesses and establishments.
Foreign workers, including those from Pakistan, are urged to promptly renew their residency permits (Iqama) upon expiration, as failure to do so can result in complications.
Updated Visa Fees:
- The fee for extending an exit and re-entry visa has been set at SR 103.5.
- Renewing an Iqama will now cost SR 51.75, while issuing a final exit visa is priced at SR 70.
- The cost of issuing a new Iqama is SR 51.75, while requesting an employee report will cost SR 28.75.
- Updating expatriates’ passport information will incur a fee of SR 69.
Absher Business clarified on X (formerly Twitter) that these updated charges apply to value-added services accessed through the platform and are not covered by the employer’s annual subscription package.
Additionally, the Absher Individuals platform has introduced a new service allowing users to report absconding individuals holding visitor visas. However, there are specific conditions attached to this service:
- The visitor must have a personal or family visit visa.
- Reports can only be filed 7 to 14 days after the visa expiration.
- The visitor’s visa must have expired.
- Only one report can be submitted per visitor.
- Once submitted, reports cannot be canceled.
The updated Iqama fee structure and the introduction of this new service reflect the Saudi government’s continued efforts to enhance accessibility and streamline services for its large expatriate community.
