Hannah Hawkins, a producer at ITV, tragically lost her battle with breast cancer, as revealed by her husband. Just two months ago, Hannah, who was the producer of the show “Lorraine,” welcomed her son Rory. It was during her pregnancy that she received a second diagnosis of breast cancer.
Her husband, Tom, took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news of her passing. He posted a photo of Hannah holding their newborn son, Rory. In the caption, he expressed his deep sorrow at losing her just a day before his own birthday, humorously wishing she had kept the receipt.
Tom went on to talk about the immense sadness he feels knowing that Hannah won’t be there to see their son grow up. He reflected on her legacy, highlighting her remarkable outlook on life, often saying, “I’m so at peace with the life I’ve lived,” which always moved him. He admired how she prioritized others’ feelings and brought laughter to everyone even in her final moments.
Tom emphasized that Hannah’s life was defined by love, friendship, and strength, values he vows to instill in their son, Rory. He wants Rory to understand how cherished his mother was and the immense love she gave. Tom also praised Hannah’s ability to effortlessly make lifelong friends and her unwavering bravery in facing life’s challenges with a smile and laughter in her eyes.
He expressed gratitude for the 13 incredible years they shared. Radio presenter Vick Hope and Giovanni Fletcher offered their condolences, acknowledging the pain and unfairness of the situation while celebrating Hannah’s enduring love and positive impact on the world.
