Shaheen Afridi Ansha Wedding date – Pakistan fast pace ace Shaheen Shah Afridi’s wedding ceremony with Shahid Afridi’s daughter, Ansha, will take place this month later after the end of the Asia Cup 2023.
Shaheen is currently participating in the Asia Cup, which is scheduled to conclude on September 17th, a Sunday.
Following this big event, the wedding ceremony is set for September 19th, with the Valima reception planned for September 21st in Islamabad, as per unnamed sources. However, the families haven’t officially confirmed these dates yet.
Back in April, Shahid shared during an interview with a private news channel that Shaheen’s wedding festivities were planned for September this year.
Shaheen and Ansha had previously tied the knot earlier this year in Karachi. After the Nikah, they also hosted a reception attended by cricketers like Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, and squash legend Jahangir Khan.
Their Mehndi function took place a day before the Nikah ceremony, and they had been engaged for two years.
Shaheen, the 23-year-old fast bowler, disclosed that he was the one who initiated the idea of marrying Ansha.
“It was my marriage so obviously, it was me who thought about marrying her. Lala and my brother have been friends for a very long time, and our elders know each other too. So, my mother went ahead with the rishta (proposal) and the families agreed,” he said shyly while speaking during an interview.
Shaheen couldn’t pinpoint a specific moment where the couple first crossed paths because they had known each other for quite some time.
“There wasn’t a proper first meet-up as such. We used to go to each other’s houses. Whenever they’d come to our house so I’d see her around and then we met at our Nikah,” he said.
“They say that you should always have a life partner that appreciates you and thank God I have that. She doesn’t get involved much but has always supported me,” he exclaimed.
