PSL 2024: Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings didn’t begin their tournaments well. Peshawar Zalmi lost to Quetta Gladiators by 16 runs, while Karachi Kings were defeated by 55 runs against the strong Multan Sultans team.
Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings will face each other in the sixth match of PSL 9 at the Gaddafi Cricket Stadium.
Shoaib Malik attempted to save the match for the Karachi Kings against Multan Sultans while trying to reach a target of 185 runs. Despite scoring a well-thought-out half-century, his efforts were wasted when he lost his wicket to Abbas Afridi at a critical moment.
Meanwhile, Babar Azam’s impressive 68 runs off 42 balls couldn’t secure victory as Quetta Gladiators’ spin bowler halted his progress and triggered a collapse in the middle order with an excellent bowling performance of 2 wickets for 29 runs in 4 overs.
