After a gap of seven years, Pakistan’s national cricket team has arrived in India to participate in the ODI World Cup tournament. Alongside the cricket action, players are taking the opportunity to enjoy the offerings of their neighboring nation.
Reports have emerged that Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, indulged in some shopping during his stay in India, which allegedly included purchasing jewelry and clothing, including a designer sherwani valued at over 2 million PKR.
However, the sports management company representing Babar has vehemently denied these reports, labeling them as completely false. They emphasized the importance of accurate fact-checking by media outlets before spreading any form of misinformation or propaganda.
Due to tight security measures, the Pakistani team has primarily remained in their hotel rooms, as they are not permitted to freely roam public areas without an escort. This level of security has been likened to the precautions taken during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unfortunately, some players have experienced health issues during the tournament, with some attributing it to their time spent in their hotel rooms.
