Today, not only did the Oppo A59 make its global debut in India, but we also saw the introduction of the Poco M6. This new smartphone runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6100+ chip and comes with 4/6/8GB of RAM. What’s interesting is that you can add an extra 8GB of RAM through expansion.
The Poco M6 has a 6.74-inch 720×1,600 LCD screen with 90 Hz refresh rate and up to 600-nit peak brightness, Gorilla Glass protection on top (though which version isn’t mentioned), 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, microSD expansion support, dual-SIM functionality, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
It has a 50 MP main rear camera, it’s dust and splash resistant, and it runs Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top. The first sale is taking place on December 26, and the Poco M6 will be offered in Galactic Black and Orion Blue.
So, the Poco M6 is out, and it seems like it’s basically the same as the Redmi 13C 5G that came out last week. The only real difference is the design on the back, where Poco added its own touch. Everything else looks identical.
Now, for the prices: The base model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at INR 10,499. If you want more RAM and storage, the 6/128GB version is INR 11,499, and the top-of-the-line 8/256GB version is INR 13,499. But here’s the catch – with a bank offer, you can actually get the Poco M6 for just INR 9,499. And Poco claims this makes it the most affordable 5G phone you can get in India right now.
