The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has introduced a hassle-free method for registering mobile devices without any service charges. They have outlined the process on their official Facebook page, making it convenient for users.
According to the PTA, they will not levy any service charges on the registration process. However, customers will be required to pay the taxes imposed by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Free Registration of Mobile Phones with PTA
To register a mobile device with the PTA, there are three available methods:
- Online Option: Users can visit the following link to register their device: https://dirbs.pta.gov.pk/drs
- USSD Code: Users can dial *8484# from their mobile phone and follow the provided steps to complete the registration process.
- Mobile Operator’s Office: People also have the option to visit the offices of mobile phone operators for registration. In this case, a service charge of Rs100 will be applicable.
The PTA has also released an official video providing users with a step-by-step guide on the mobile phone registration process.
