Judo Player Fiza Cause of death – A girl student passed away after getting a head injury during a judo match at a college sports event held at the Sports Complex of the Mardan Education Department on Sunday.
The 20-year-old girl hailed from Peshawar and was identified as Fiza, and her condition deteriorated soon after the head injury.
Rescue workers attempted CPR on the girl to help her condition before taking her to the hospital.
On arrival at the hospital, the medical staff declared her dead, as the head injury turned out to be fatal for the young girl.
Various schools and colleges from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participated in a Judo Competition held in Mardan. The event was planned to take place from March 3 to March 8.
Officials responsible for the event stated that the students participating in the competition arrived in Mardan on Saturday. After the tragic incident involving the girl’s passing, they attempted to reach out to the family of the deceased to arrange for the timely return of the body.
