LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and the Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) took decisive action against businesses violating local parking rules and regulations regarding signboards.
On Friday, they sealed over two dozen commercial buildings on Abdul Haq Road in Johar Town. Affected establishments included well-known stores like Hush Puppies and Starlet Shoes, a private bank, an ice cream parlor, and various other shops and offices.

The authorities, aided by local law enforcement and using heavy machinery, also tackled illegal signboards. They removed unauthorized signage from a variety of locations, including a dental clinic, a car shop, a petrol station, a hotel, a coffee shop, and another private bank.
Prior to these actions, LDA officials had issued several notices to the owners of these buildings, warning them of the violations. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has instructed his teams to continue these operations against illegal encroachments, signboards, and parking violations across Lahore, ensuring that the enforcement is carried out fairly and without discrimination.
