Ramadan 2024 – The Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee will meet in Peshawar on March 11 to sight the Ramadan moon.
According to details, the Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Abdul Khabir Azad, will lead the session in Peshawar on March 11. Meanwhile, teams in different zones will gather in their assigned areas to gather and review information about seeing the moon.
This means that Ramadan, the holy month, will probably start on March 12 in Pakistan. Weather analyst Jawad Memon had also said earlier that Ramadan would likely begin on March 12 in the country.
Memon said that even though the new moon for Ramadan will appear on March 10, people won’t be able to see it until March 11. He believes there’s a 95% likelihood that the first day of fasting will start on March 12.
“First Taraweeh will be observed on the night of March 11 [whereas] the first fast will be on March 12,” Memon had stated.
