Public holiday declared on Dec 5

A public holiday has been announced in the Sheikhupura district of Punjab on December 5 due to the by-election in constituency PP-139 Ferozewala.

The by-election will take place on December 5 for the vacant Punjab Assembly seat, following the death of Rana Afzal Hussain. He had previously been elected in a by-election after Rana Tanveer Hussain vacated the seat.

The Deputy Commissioner’s Office has issued a notification declaring a public holiday in the district for the election day.
