ISLAMABAD – In November, people across Pakistan observed a public holiday in honor of Iqbal Day, paying tribute to the national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
The federal government issued the official schedule for public and optional holidays for 2024 in December 2023. The notification provides details about holidays for both Muslim and minority festivals throughout the year.
As per the official notification, there will be no additional public holidays in Pakistan during the month of July 2024. The public holidays are designated to mark significant national occasions and celebrations throughout the year.
The next public holiday will be observed on December 25, 2024 (Wednesday), to celebrate the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. The nation will mark the 148th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation with great enthusiasm and reverence.
