New Electricity Price in Pakistan-In a significant development, electricity prices in the country have surged by Rs3.28 per unit as of Monday. This increase, part of the quarterly adjustment, is slated to be effective from October 2023 to March 2024.
This change impacts all consumers nationwide, spanning residential, commercial, industrial, and K-Electric users. Collectively, this shift is expected to bear heavily on consumers’ finances, with an estimated total cost of 146 billion rupees.
Individuals using 100 units will now face a monthly surcharge of Rs328.14, while those consuming 200 units will see a monthly surcharge of Rs656.28.
Moreover, for 300 units of usage, an additional bill of Rs684.42 will be incurred, and for 400 units, an extra Rs912 will be added.
Furthermore, customers will now face an additional fee of Rs. 1,140 for 500 units and Rs. 1,368 for 600 units.
For those utilizing 700 units, an extra monthly cost of Rs1,596 will be part of their electricity expenses.
