The 980th Urs (death anniversary) of Data Gunj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri (RA) is scheduled to take place on September 7, 2023, and to ensure the convenience of commuters, the Lahore Traffic Police has devised a traffic plan for the day.
With a significant number of people expected to visit Data Darbar in Lahore for this religious event, the traffic plan aims to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic in the provincial capital.
Here is the traffic plan for Lahore on September 7, 2023:
Commuters traveling from Shahdara towards Data Darbar on Lower Mall will be redirected to the Railway Station through Azadi Chowk. This diversion is intended to alleviate traffic congestion in the vicinity of Data Darbar, ensuring a more seamless traffic flow.
Traffic coming from Shahdara and heading towards Lower Mall will be rerouted towards Bund Road and Saggian via Niazi Shaheed Chowk.
This traffic plan has been shared by the City Traffic Police (CTP) in Lahore to keep commuters informed and help them navigate the city effectively on the day of the Urs.
Furthermore, it’s important to note that the Punjab Government has declared a public holiday on September 7, 2023, in observance of the Urs of Data Gunj Bakhsh Syed Ali Hajveri (RA). This holiday is a gesture of respect and recognition for the significance of the religious occasion.
