ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Founder and chairman Imran Khan said that he was offered a deal to stay silent for 3 years, instead of sitting silently, they offered to drop the cases and keep quiet.
Imran Khan said that the message revealed the establishment’s conditions that he should take turns after turns.
According to the reports, Imran Khan said that he was offered a turn but he was asked to be a good man first. The same, he said, was told to Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
“If it’s in the country’s interest, I will step back. If you want to push me back with force, I won’t step back. The law is supreme,” Khan was quoted as saying.
During a hearing on the marriage case while in Adiala Jail, Khan expressed to journalists in an informal chat, stating, “A nation’s economy cannot thrive without a stable democracy. The current election process could harm the country’s economy. I urge the Army Chief to consider the well-being of the 250 million citizens. This concerns the nation’s future, and history may not be forgiving if action is not taken.”
Imran Khan said, “No deal will be accepted other than fair and transparent elections.” He didn’t even wait for a response from Bushra Bibi and she was kept waiting for 6 hours, then they took her away. Bushra Bibi has been confined to a room in Bani Gala, the windows of the room were closed and it was darkened. If there was a deal, would they come to jail? However, the deal was to end Nawaz Sharif’s cases.”
Imran Khan claimed that the PML-N and the Election Commission have manipulated the new electoral system.
“All parties should be prepared, they have to lift their polling agents and announce the results. The People’s Party, Jamaat-e-Islami should instruct their polling agents not to leave the polling stations before receiving Form B,” he added.
