Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has been arrested in the case of May 9 attack on the General Headquarters (GHQ) of the Pakistan Army also.
Imran Khan is currently in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi due to legal matters investigated by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). He is facing judicial remand in two cases. Recently, he received release orders in the cipher case, and these orders were issued on Monday.
The authorities have officially arrested Imran Khan in the GHQ attack case.
According to sources, Imran Khan has been named as accused in all the cases related to the May 9, 2023 incidents.
Meanwhile, Judge Malik Ijaz Asif, from the anti-terrorism court, went to Adiala Jail to preside over the case involving Imran Khan and the GHQ gate attack. Additionally, a hearing for another case related to incidents on May 9, filed at Waris Khan police station, will also take place in the jail.
The investigators for the May 9 incident cases have now arrived at Adiala Jail. They are expected to update the judge on the progress of their investigation and share details about Imran Khan’s involvement in the cases.
