According to metrics from Netblocks, there was a nationwide disruption to social media platforms across Pakistan, impacting services such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

The disruption coincided with the second virtual gathering of the persecuted opposition leader Imran Khan’s political party, PTI, as mentioned in a post on ‘X’ by Netblocks.
Notably, this marks the third occurrence of social media platforms experiencing disruptions in the country within a month. The first incident was reported on December 17, followed by another on January 7.
