Marvel actor Eka Darville has decided to put his career on hold following the tragic passing of his young son.
This decision comes after his 10-year-old child, Mana, lost his battle with aggressive glioneuronal brain cancer.
Initially, Australian doctors informed Eka, best known for roles in Power Rangers RPM and Marvel’s Jessica Jones and The Defenders, that they were unable to provide the necessary treatment.
Subsequently, the 34-year-old actor and his wife Lila relocated their family to America for treatment. Mana underwent a high-risk marathon surgery aimed at removing as much of the tumor as possible.
Eka consistently sought support from his Instagram followers, requesting prayers for his son and regularly sharing updates on his condition. Fans were deeply saddened when he revealed that the surgery had only led to the tumor regrowing.
On Monday, Mana’s grieving grandmother took to social media to announce her beloved grandson’s passing after a valiant battle with cancer.
The mourning family also posted an emotional video on Mana’s GoFundMe Page, expressing, “We still wanted to come together in this prayer because he’s still always gonna be with us and he’s still with us.”
