BEIJING – Pakistani citizens residing in China can get their passports renewed by visiting the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing.
The embassy accepts the applications for the machine readable passport from (Monday – Friday) 0900 – 1130 hours except on public holidays.
“Application will be accepted only if required documents of the applicant are complete otherwise it will be rejected/pended,” the embassy said.
Requirements for Passport Issuance
- Original valid computerized national identity card (CNIC) or NICOP.
- Original Passport (and copies of page 1-5 & current visa/resident permit).
- Loss report from Chinese police/immigration bureau in case of lost passport.
- Minors (less than 18 years):
- Original Computerized Form “B” (CRC) or NICOP.
- Original Birth Certificate.
- Valid CNIC of parents.
- Accompanied by father and mother/legal guardian.
- Guardianship/custodianship papers in case of separation.
Steps to Apply for Passport Renewal
- First photograph bearing token will be issued.
- Secondly fingerprints (i.e. biometric) will be captured.
- Third step is to take applicant’s data.
- Fourth step checking of the record from database.
- Final step is the recommendation for the issuance of passport.

The regular cost for a 36-page passport valid for five years is 189 Chinese Yuan, and for ten years, it’s 282 Yuan. If you need it urgently, the fee is 310 Yuan for five years and 460 Yuan for ten years.
The regular cost for a 72-page passport valid for five years is 340 Chinese Yuan, and for ten years, it’s 507 Yuan. If you need the passport urgently, the fee is 556 Yuan for five years and 827 Yuan for ten years. 4o
Similarly, the normal fee for 100-page passport with five years validity stands at 372 Chinese Yuan while its 556 Yuan for 10 years validity. The urgent fee for same passport with five years validity stands at 744 Yuan and it is 1,101 Yuan for 10 years validity.
