UK-based citizenship and residence advisory firm, Henley and Partners, Once more, the latest rankings have placed the Pakistani passport among the least favorable in the world.
Over the past five years, there hasn’t been any positive change in the country’s ranking. According to the latest Henley Passport Index, the Pakistani passport is currently ranked as the fourth least powerful in the world.
According to the firm’s Global Mobility Report 2024, Pakistan’s passport is positioned at 101st out of 104 on the Henley Passport Index with a score of 34. It means Pakistani passport holders can enjoy visa-free access to merely 34 out of the 227 destinations covered by the index.
According to information gathered from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the ranking assesses approximately 199 passports by taking into account the number of countries and territories that holders of these passports can visit without needing a visa beforehand.
Pakistan holds a position slightly higher than conflict-affected countries like Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, securing a score of 31, 29, and 28, respectively. Here is a list of the world’s ten least powerful passports.

When it comes to having the most influential passport globally, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Spain all share the top position.
