Chicken meat prices are rising even though Eid ul Adha, the festival of sacrifice which typically leads to increased meat consumption, is approaching.
Rate list shared by local administration shows increase in chicken price in last couple of days. The price of chicken meat per kg saw jump of around Rs30 per kg.
The wholesale price of chicken has been set at Rs 330, with the retail price of chicken meat at Rs 514. On June 10, the price of chicken was approximately Rs 485 per kg.
Chicken Meat Rate Today
The administration has revealed the official prices for vegetables and fruits. According to the list, onions are priced at Rs 95 per kilogram, potatoes at Rs 78 per kilogram, tomatoes at Rs 65 per kilogram, and green chilies at Rs 100 per kilogram. Ginger is priced at Rs 650 per kilogram, desi garlic at Rs 285 per kilogram, farm cucumbers at Rs 60 per kilogram, fenugreek at Rs 130 per kilogram, eggplants at Rs 60 per kilogram, cauliflower at Rs 120 per kilogram, and turnips at Rs 75 per kilogram.
The rate of capsicum is Rs 180, lemon is Rs 310/kg, peas are Rs 235/kg, Ghia pumpkin is Rs 75/kg, Chinese carrot is Rs 70/kg, and bitter gourd is Rs 90/kg.
The prices are as follows: black apple costs Rs 310 per kilogram, peach is Rs 190 per kilogram, Bukhara potato is Rs 175 per kilogram, falsa is Rs 170 per kilogram, watermelon is Rs 40 per kilogram, Iranian date is Rs 475 per kilogram, Sindhi mango is Rs 150 per kilogram, Dushari mango is Rs 145 per kilogram, and bananas are Rs 145 per dozen.
