Pakistan’s automotive industry is witnessing a significant transformation, with a noticeable shift towards eco-friendly electric vehicles (EVs) in line with a global trend.
In response, various companies are introducing affordable electric bikes to cater to the growing market of environmentally-conscious consumers. One such initiative comes from the Crown Group, in collaboration with Chinese partners Dongjin and Benling Groups, who have introduced two electric bike models – the “Benling E-Scooty” and the “Benling E-Bike.”
These electric bikes were recently showcased at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2023 in Karachi, highlighting the industry’s dedication to sustainability and cleaner energy alternatives. Notably, these bikes come with an 18-month warranty covering both the motor and the battery, a move aimed at building consumer confidence and encouraging the adoption of electric bikes.
The Benling E-Scooty is available in three variants, each offering different mileage ranges, providing consumers with options tailored to their specific needs. This not only reflects Pakistan’s response to the global demand for greener transportation but also aligns with the country’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and promoting sustainable practices in the automotive sector. As electric vehicles become more accessible and diverse in Pakistan, they are poised to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future for the nation’s transportation landscape.
