Petrol Price in Pakistan – In a move aimed at providing relief to the public affected by inflation, the interim government has announced a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs40 per liter and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs15 for the upcoming two weeks.
The Ministry of Finance, using its official X handle (formerly known as Twitter), shared the updated rates for petroleum products. Under the new pricing, petrol will cost Rs283.38 per liter, and HSD will be priced at Rs303.18 per liter.
The government explained that these price adjustments are a response to fluctuations in the international prices of petroleum and favorable changes in the exchange rate. These new prices will become effective from midnight on October 16 and will be applicable until October 31.
The revised prices for petroleum products for the two-week period starting from October 16 are as follows:
