Junaid Safdar, the grandson of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, recently confirmed his divorce from Ayesha Saif, the daughter of former accountability bureau chief Saifur Rehman, after a two-year marriage.
This development has sparked curiosity and raised questions. In a statement shared on social media, Junaid acknowledged the separation and emphasized that it is a private matter, urging the media to respect their privacy.

Following the divorce, an alleged statement attributed to Ayesha Saif circulated online, in which she openly pointed fingers at her ex-mother-in-law, Maryam Nawaz, accusing her of intruding into their married life and compromising their privacy. Ayesha highlighted the importance of finding tranquility in marriage and expressed regret that this was missing from her life with Junaid. She stated her intention to begin anew after the divorce.
Observers also noted that Junaid removed all pictures with his ex-wife from his official social media accounts.
