The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted partly cloudy weather with scattered rains for the twin cities and various parts of Pakistan over the weekend.
According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is expected to enter the upper regions of the country in the evening or at night, and then spread to the upper and central areas on Saturday.
This weather pattern is likely to bring windstorms, rain, and thunderstorms (with possible snowfall in higher mountain areas) in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, the Potohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir on Friday evening and night.
On Saturday, similar conditions are anticipated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir. There’s also a chance of isolated hailstorms in the plains and snowfall in high mountainous areas.
Significant precipitation is expected in Kashmir, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Potohar region during this period. Dry weather, on the other hand, is predicted for the rest of the country.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature is projected to range between 28-30 degrees Celsius on both Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile, in Rawalpindi, the highest temperature is anticipated to range between 29-31 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 28-30 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
In the past 24 hours, dry weather prevailed across the country. Nokkundi recorded the highest temperature at a scorching 41 degrees Celsius, while in Islamabad, the maximum temperature was 31 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity during the morning was 86 percent in Islamabad and 63 percent in Rawalpindi.
