Miss Universe Pakistan, Erica Robin, finds herself at the center of a significant controversy as her participation in the Miss Universe beauty pageant has triggered a wave of criticism within Pakistan.
Chosen as Miss Universe Erica Robin of Karachi, Pakistan, one of the five finalists in the inaugural competition held in the Maldives, is preparing for the Miss Universe finals, which will take place in El Salvador in November of this year. This will be a historic occasion as it will be the first time Pakistan has chosen a representative in the 72-year history of the Miss Universe beauty pageant.
“I would want to change this mindset that Pakistan is a backward country,” Erica said when asked to name one thing she wanted to do for her country.
Who’s Miss Universe Pakistan Erica Robin?
Erica was born on September 14, 1999, into a Christian family in Karachi, Pakistan. She commenced her educational journey at St. Patrick’s Girls High School. Subsequently, she pursued her academic pursuits at the Government College of Commerce and Business Administration in Chandigarh.
She swiftly made her mark, gracing the pages of DIVA Magazine Pakistan’s July 2020 issue. Erica’s modelling portfolio includes collaborations with renowned Pakistani fashion brands such as Khaadi, Zara Shahjahan, Sania Maskatiya, Elan, and Sana Safinaz.
In August 2020, Erica Robin extended her professional horizons by joining Flow Digital. It is an IT consulting firm in Karachi where she assumed the role of Assistant Manager.
Ericica’s path to the Miss Universe stage has been marked by its fair share of controversies.
