Madhura Naik, known for her role in the TV series ‘Naagin’, recently took to Instagram to share a heartbreaking story about her cousin, Odaya, and her husband’s tragic ordeal in Israel. According to Madhura, the couple lost their lives in front of their children on October 7 during the ongoing conflict.
In an emotional social media post, Madhura, who identifies as Jewish, expressed her deep sorrow over the loss. She explained that the pain her family is going through is indescribable due to the current situation in Israel. Madhura, who is of Indian origin, highlighted the small Jewish community in India, numbering only around 3,000.
Describing the devastating incident, Madhura revealed, “On October 7, we lost a daughter and a son from our family. My cousin Odaya and her husband were murdered in cold blood in the presence of their two children.”

She went on to paint a grim picture of the situation in Israel, stating, “As of today, Israel is in pain. Her children, her women and her streets are burning in flames in the wrath of Hamas. The women, children, elderly and the weak are being targeted.”
Madhura also opened up about the hurtful experience she had faced when sharing her family’s pain. She mentioned that she was subjected to humiliation and shaming by individuals advocating for Palestine, solely based on her Jewish identity. Despite this, she chose to speak out, addressing her followers and expressing her gratitude for their support over the years.
Madhura’s heartfelt account sheds light on the deep emotional impact the conflict in Israel has had on her and her family, while also highlighting the importance of understanding and empathy during such sensitive times.
